The agenda shows your sessions in the app. You control check-ins, comments and registration in the feature settings, and manage sessions and sub-sessions from the Agenda list.
Feature settings
Go to Features & Menu and open Agenda.
Allow Session Check-Ins: lets attendees check in to sessions. Check-in types:- ON - Anytime, no additional verification: checked in as soon as they tap the button.
- ON - Staff scans the attendee badge: a staff member with scanning access scans their QR code. See Attendance Tracking.
- ON - Verify just with a code: checked in after entering the session's code.
- ON - Verify just valid time (during session): checked in by tapping the button within a set time window.
- ON - Verify Both: code AND time: enter the code within the time window.
- OFF - No Check Ins (do not show button)
Other settings on the Agenda feature:
- Check-In grace period: how many minutes before and after the session start attendees can check in.
- Check-In Honesty Pledge Message: if you add text, attendees must accept it before they're checked in.
- Add to personal itinerary after Check-In: checking in adds the session to the attendee's schedule.
- Allow Session Check-Outs: the check-in button becomes a check-out button. Check-out times show on the check-in detail report.
- Section headers and icons: rename the labels and icons for related links, surveys and speakers on session pages.
- Allow adding a session to the device's local calendar: shows an Add to Calendar button on sessions.
- Allow User Comments: attendees can comment on sessions.
- Default Live Poll button name: renames the live poll button on sessions. Only shows if your event has Live Polls (see Which Touchpoint features need to be turned on by Certain?).
Session registration: Allow Session Registration lets attendees register for sessions, using either Touchpoint Managed or Platform Integration registration (see the FAQ). It only shows if your event has the Capacity Planning add-on (see Which Touchpoint features need to be turned on by Certain?).
The Agenda list
- Dates: show one or more days.
- Columns: show or hide extra columns, such as check-ins, education credits, capacity and description. Which columns you see depends on the features your event uses.
- Sub-Sessions: shown by default, highlighted in light blue under their parent. Turn the button off to see only top-level sessions.
- Search: searches every column above.
- Terms: filter sessions by group term.
Sessions and sub-sessions
The app supports top-level sessions with sub-sessions under them.

Add a sub-session: click the plus button next to Edit on a top-level session. Top-level sessions with sub-sessions show an icon with the count; click it to show or hide them.
- Sub-sessions show in blue under their parent.
-
Reorder sub-sessions: drag the grabber icon.
-
Move a session inside another: check the session, then click the plus button on the top-level session. Confirm when your browser asks.
-
Make a sub-session top-level: check it, then click the left arrow that appears.
FAQ
Why can't my attendees see their sessions on My Schedule?
Most often, My Schedule isn't set to show them. Go to Features/Menu > My Schedule and turn on Planned Itineraries and Registered Sessions. If My Schedule isn't in your menu, add the feature first. Schedules you assign to attendees (personal itineraries) are an add-on (see Which Touchpoint features need to be turned on by Certain?).
I tagged a session "Touchpoint: Private" and it disappeared from the agenda. Where did it go?
That's expected. A private session shows only on the My Schedule page of the attendees assigned to it, never on the main agenda. To give one person a private session, open their attendee page and use Manage Assigned Schedule under Schedule. That button shows once Planned Itineraries and Registered Sessions is on in the My Schedule feature.
What's the difference between a private session and a hidden session?
A private session shows only on assigned attendees' My Schedule. Hide Session hides it everywhere, the agenda and My Schedule both.
I'm a manager and I can't see a session in the app. Is it broken?
Check whether the session is limited to certain participant types. To see it yourself, add an attendee record with your manager email and an allowed participant type.
How do I show a session only to certain groups?
Participant types are an add-on that Certain turns on (see Which Touchpoint features need to be turned on by Certain?). Once they're on, create the participant types and assign them to your attendees. Then open the session and limit it to those types. If you import participant types with your agenda, use names that don't clash with existing ones.
How do I add sessions to attendees' schedules in bulk?
Use the Personal Itineraries tab in the Bulk Upload template. Session titles have to match the agenda exactly, so watch for extra spaces.
My sessions come from Certain Platform, and some are missing. What do I check?
The sync usually catches up within a few minutes. If a location name was pasted from another document, retype it in Platform; hidden characters can stop a session from syncing. Still missing? Contact Certain Support for a full re-sync. See How do Certain Platform and Touchpoint sync?
Sessions people picked in Platform don't show in the app. Why?
Check Allow Session Registration. If your event syncs from Platform but is set to Touchpoint Managed, the app ignores Platform session registrations. Registrations made in the app also don't go back to Platform. Also make sure the My Schedule feature is in your menu with Planned Itineraries and Registered Sessions turned on. That's where registered sessions show for attendees.
When should I use Touchpoint Managed?
When attendees register for sessions in the app and your event doesn't sync from Platform. You also need it for session capacity limits and a custom registration message. Capacity limits are part of the Capacity Planning add-on (see Which Touchpoint features need to be turned on by Certain?). See Capacity Planning.
What time zone does the agenda show?
The app doesn't show the time zone name. Setting a different time zone on each session is an add-on (see Which Touchpoint features need to be turned on by Certain?). If you turn on Prefer User Timezone (click Edit on your event, then Event Settings), attendees see times in their own device's time zone. Don't see the setting? Contact Certain Support. Add a short note in the app so people know which time they're seeing.
Can I show two time zones on the agenda?
No. The agenda shows one time per session.
Can I have two agenda tabs with different sessions?
No. Each event has one Agenda feature, and you can't add a second one. If you need this, submit an enhancement request.
What is "Jump to Now"?
It takes attendees to the current time on the agenda. It only shows when the agenda is on today's date.
Can I add header images to many sessions at once?
Not yet. Header images are added one session at a time.
Why do ePoster sessions show up in the agenda?
Poster sessions are managed with your other sessions. The ePosters menu shows only sessions with Visual Cue set to Poster.
Can a session survey open on its own when the session starts?
Not at the moment. Hide the survey, then unhide it when the session starts.
Next step: If the agenda still doesn't look right in the app, contact Certain Support with the session name and a screenshot.
