The AI Event Assistant answers attendees' questions in the app, in plain language, from your event content. Each answer links to the place it found the information, and it suggests questions to ask.
Get it turned on
The AI Event Assistant is an add-on. Certain turns it on for your event once your Customer Success Manager confirms it's in your package.
- Contact Certain Support and ask for the AI Event Assistant on your event.
- If your app is your own branded app in the app stores, it needs version 7.7 or later. If it's older, Certain Support submits an app update for you.
Plan ahead: An app update has to be approved by Apple and Google before attendees get it, so ask well before your event.
Add it to your app
Once it's turned on:
- Open your event and click Edit next to Main Navigation.
- Click Add Feature and pick AI Assistant.
- Set the Button Label, then drag it near the top of your menu so attendees find it.
- To put it on the home screen too, add it in your home layout. It takes up room, so preview the layout before your event goes live.
The feature has Button Label, Hide Button and Disable settings. It can't be limited to certain participant types.
Where its answers come from
- Info: every item in your Info features, including Info features you've hidden from the menu. Tip: add a hidden Info feature with extra FAQs that only the assistant uses.
- Agenda: your sessions.
- Attendees only get answers from content they're allowed to see. If an Info item or session is limited to certain participant types, the attendee has to be logged in to get answers from it.
If a speaker is set to show only with their sessions, and those sessions are limited to certain participant types, the assistant may not find that speaker.
What attendees see
A welcome message with their name and your event name, a note that AI can make mistakes, suggested questions, and links to the source of each answer. The welcome message can't be changed. If you need a privacy notice or disclaimer, put it in an Info item.
See how it's being used
Go to Event Reports > AI Assistant Usage on your event dashboard. It shows conversations, messages and usage over time.
