The “My QR Code” feature can be added to the features list on your Touchpoint app. It contains an auto-generated QR code that is unique to each individual attendee, embedded with the value that is entered in the "External Matching Code / QR Code source" field on each attendee's profile.
Feature Setup
You can add this feature on the Features/Menu page in the Touchpoint CMS.
The “My QR Code” feature is a button on the navigation menu in the app.
On the Feature Settings for the “My QR Code” feature, you can optionally include customized QR Code Help Text to appear under the QR code in the app.
QR Code Source on Attendee profiles
Each attendee's "My QR Code" is auto-generated by the app and embedded with the value entered in the External Matching Code / QR Code source field on the Attendee profile editing screen in the Touchpoint CMS.
NOTE:
- You will only see the “QR CODE/LEAD RETRIEVAL PROFILE” section on the Attendee profile editing screen in the Touchpoint CMS if either the Lead Scanning or Session Check In Scanning modules are added to the event.
- If the External Matching Code / QR Code source field is BLANK on an attendee record in the Touchpoint CMS, there will be NO QR Code displayed under that attendee’s My QR Code button in the app.
- For Certain Platform-integrated events, the External Matching Code / QR Code source field is automatically populated with the attendee’s Registration Code via the Platform-Touchpoint integration.
- NOTE: If using Certain badge printing, you must use the “Basic” QR Code option for the printed badges in order for the QR Code on the printed badge to match with the External Matching Code / QR Code source field on attendee profiles in Touchpoint.
- For Touchpoint only events, you will need to fill in the External Matching Code / QR Code source field for each attendee, either via bulk upload (using the “Lead Code” column on the Attendees bulk upload spreadsheet) or via manual entry on an individual Attendee record in the Touchpoint CMS.
-
- NOTE: You will also need to coordinate with your badge printing vendor to ensure that the QR Code on attendees' printed badges matches the External Matching Code / QR Code source field on attendee profiles in Touchpoint EXACTLY. On an export spreadsheet of the attendees list from Touchpoint, this field is shown in the “Lead Code” column.
