The badge game rewards attendees for things like checking in to sessions, visiting exhibitors and answering surveys. Attendees see who's in the lead on the Leaderboard, and earned badges show on their profile. You decide the rules.
The badge game is an add-on that Certain turns on. See Which Touchpoint features need to be turned on by Certain? Once it's on, add Leaderboard (Badge Game) to your menu (Main Navigation > Edit > Add Feature). In the Leaderboard settings, you can also send a push notification when someone earns a badge, and show a badge progress bar above attendees.
Plan your game
Start with an easy badge, like logging in to the app, so people join early. Then add harder badges to keep them playing. Use badges to push the things you care about: networking, sponsor visits, session feedback.

FAQ
Can I import badges from a spreadsheet?
No. Badges are added one at a time. You can copy them to another event with Export to [Event Name]. The list only shows events in this app whose end date hasn't passed yet. If the event you want isn't listed, check its end date.
Can attendees scan a QR code at a booth to earn a badge?
No, there are no booth QR codes. Attendees earn booth badges by checking in to the exhibitor in the app.
Can a badge be for one specific survey?
Yes. Use Respond to Specific Surveys. Respond to Surveys counts any survey.
Do photo posts count?
If your photos are moderated, only approved photos count.
Can staff have a different game from attendees?
You can limit the Leaderboard to certain participant types. You can't limit individual badges.
Can attendees see only their own progress?
No. The Leaderboard shows everyone.
How do I start the leaderboard over?
There's no full reset. You can remove badges from attendee profiles, but if the attendee still did the action, the badge comes back.
Why doesn't tapping the badge notification open the Leaderboard?
That's how it works today.
Can we rename "Badges"?
You can rename the Leaderboard feature button, but not the word "Badges" inside it.
An attendee should have a badge but doesn't.
Check the badge for a setup alert, then use Reset Awards. If that doesn't fix it, contact Certain Support with the attendee and the badge name.
Next step: For badge problems during a live event, contact Certain Support and mark it urgent.
